Modern Jewelry, Ancient Traditions
SORA is a a creative collection of jewelry by Emi Harase, handmade in Hilo, Hawaii. "Sora" 空 is a nod to the Japanese heritage in the word meaning 'sky'. True to its namesake, Sora jewelry is inspired by natural forms and features. Sora's original designs are handmade using traditional metalsmithing techniques, like ancient art of lost wax casting, forging & forming, soldering, and stone setting.
SORA was created to craft elegantly minimal, ethically sourced pieces that can be paired and personalized, shared and passed down.
We want you to make each piece - truly your own.

Hawai'i Based
My name is Emi Harase and I'm a goldsmith based in Hilo, Hawai'i. I currently go to school at the Gemological Institute of America to become a Gemologist while offering repair work and building my brand. I've been making jewelry for about 5 years now and I aim to create solid-gold pieces that reflect Hawai'i lifestyle. My belief is that in whatever we purchase, we should seek items that we intend to keep as an investment.

Every Piece, Handmade
All the pieces you see on this website are handmade, carved by hand and made with recycled gold. I carefully select where the stones are sourced and try my best to keep sustainable practices though the materials I source, packaging and more! The created pieces are inspired by a mix of things I see in the wild, or a riff on amazing artists in my community, mostly in design or fashion I see. All pieces are one of a kind, even the stacking rings. That's the beauty in handcrafted jewelry. Thanks for following along.
